So you’ve decided you’d like to stay at QAH during your time in Cambridge? That’s great! Booking a room is simple. Simply visit the Rooms & Rates page and select your preferred room option. If you are an ARU student you will be directed to the ARU Student Portal to complete your request. If you are not an ARU Student simply complete the enquiry form and one of our team will check availability and get back to you.
An advance rent deposit of £300 is required at point of booking to secure your room.
Students often stay for an academic year (September to June) but we can offer you your room for a second and third year.
You can move in sooner or stay longer than this period by talking to a member of staff who will arrange additional payment.
You can pay your deposit via bank transfer (details will be emailed to you), paid at the reception at QAH or over the phone.
Due to the rooms being on the 4th and 5th floors it is important that you are physically able to take the stairs should the lift become out of action (for example, in the event of a fire). Medicines can be stored in the fridges within your rooms.
QAH is a safe and secure place to stay. The building is staffed 24 hours a day, and access to the accommodation areas can only be obtained with a fob key which you will receive when you move in. Communal and exterior areas are covered by CCTV. If you have any concerns about safety or security please do contact a member of our team.
Unfortunately, there is no parking for residents but there are pick up/drop off points for when you move in/out.
Although there is storage available it is limited and would be on a first come first serve basis. If you would like to store a bicycle then please speak to the reception at your earliest convenience.
We have a launderettes room with two washing machines and two tumble dryers. It costs 50p to use each machine or you can purchase multiple tokens from reception.
Yes, once you have paid your advanced rent payment of £300, we will be able to look after any belongings you send by post before you move in but please inform us that you will be sending something before it is scheduled to arrive.
